Paragon Cairns
We are proud to have these champions as part of our family. They have been a pleasure to show and given me the ability to travel all over the country. Along the way I have met some wonderful people whether they are show exhibitors or enthusiasts of the breed. And I have these guys to thank.
Note: The Champions listed below have either been sired by my dogs or born of my bitches. These have been shown by myself or by their new owners.
Our many thanks to everyone who has been there to give me support from the beginning. Even though I cannot list every individual, you know who you are. I would especially like to thank:
Kari Loken is responsible for honing some of my grooming skills. She was an excellent teacher. We had a great time in the ring finishing the "Sam" kids. She was gracious enough to handle Watson for me as a special when Watson found me boring. They made a very good team in the ring. She has a way of bringing out the best in a dog.
Kyle Sabourin for handling some of my dogs to their Canadian Championships. He did a great job! Thanks to Kim and Henry (Kyle's parents) for providing such a loving home away from home for my dogs. They are my special Canadian connection.
Riley DeVos has a special place in my heart. I was asked to make a presentation to a fifth grade class who were reading a book about a dog who went to a dog show. The teacher felt it would be fun for the class to meet a real show dog. The talk intended to be a brief 15 minutes with another 15 for questions. We started after lunch and stopped when the bus drivers thought they needed to take the kids home. Lots of questions and Oliver and I had great fun! About a week later, I received a thank you note from Riley (the only one I received). I was so touched, I invited her to attend a show with me. I had her show one of my puppies in a fun match. I was impressed with her intelligence, sincerity, and maturity. I took her to a few more shows over the course of the next several years. About 4 years ago, she purchased one of my cairns, Paragon's Stately Affair - "Zach" . She actually considered other breeds, can you believe that? "Zach" became her super dog. She has attained goals many have never reached. She finished "Zach", became one of the top junior handlers, invited to the AKC/Eukanuba National and Westminster. We have traveled many miles together, experienced wonderful wins, but I feel we are truly kindred spirits.
